Can a Student drive on their own with their Learner License (Permit)?
No. Driving alone with only a Learner License is illegal. Students must be accompanied by a licensed driver, at least 21 years of age with at least 1 year of driving experience. The licensed driver must occupy the seat beside the student driver and cannot be intoxicated, asleep, or engaging in any activity that prevents him/her from observing and responding to the actions of the student driver with permit.
